Peanut Sauce

Not just for Indonesian food.

 

Ingredients

Very easy to make. When too thick thin with water or my favorite; beer.

  • 2 cups peanut butter without the peanut
  • 1/2 cup sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup Ketjap Manis or ABC sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tea sp sambal
  • salt / pepper
  • clove of garlic - minced
  • 1/4 tea sp trassie
  • beer to liking, so lots

Making the sauce

You can either make this warm or cold. Warm up a bit will make the mixing easier. Mix all ingredients together and add your sambal to liking. You like a spicy meal, then add 2 tb spoons of sambal. You also can add a bit of trassie to get that far away taste. Be gentle with the stuff and smell your fingers later.

Use on your satay, rice, dip in your kroepoek, use on gado-gado and wherever you like it.
